Greetings awesome friends and readers!! I sent the following post to my Vitamin K readers last night, and Nicole from Idaho (@NicoleVSanchez) suggested I make it public, so… here’s another little peek into a Vitamin K Day!
“Every dream deserves a team…”
A few weeks ago I was talking or tweeting or something — I don’t remember which, really, because… well… I do a lot of each and sometimes the lines blur. I even forgot the specific context of the conversation but someone came out with that line. I wish I remembered who it was so I could give them credit for; but hopefully they’re reading this and they’ll at least realize that I didn’t claim it as mine (although if someone doesn’t own up to it soon, I reserve the right to claim it next week. LOL)
I just want to say that so much of life consists of “we” but when we get to our personal goals it’s very often “I” plan, “I” want, “I” intend… and a lot of times we try to slug out our personal success all by ourselves… and that’s tough, so “Every dream deserves a team.”
And it’s not that you can’t do it alone, but most things in life are more fun if you’ve got a support team, a cheering team, a “no, that wasn’t nearly as stupid as you thought it was” team… even if it’s only one other person. Every dream worth having is worth sharing!
I’ll admit, you don’t always want to share it with the world in the beginning, but there should be at least one person who cares about you, who has your interest and happiness at heart, who can share the fun and excitement of your dream; who can give you a “high 5” when you make progress, and a hug if you hit a rough spot, and someone who will help keep you accountable to yourself — and if you’ve got three or four, all the better.
So that’s today’s message: get a team for your dream so you have someone to celebrate with. Oh did I say, “Celebrate?” And if you don’t have someone to celebrate with, write me and I’ll cheer for you.
In the meantime, I’ll go look for my pom poms ;-)
Keep dreaming, my friend!

(February 2, 2012 - 3:13 pm)That’s pretty good Mr. Ringold. I actually had read it via the email, but seeing it here as a blog post is resonating more with me. It definitely could help those of us who are kind of working solo to progress easier, that’s for sure.
